The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMET) has made the following predictions about Nigeria’s weather condition for today, Friday, May 13, 2016:

NORTHERN STATES: Partly cloudy to cloudy condition is expected over some places around Sokoto, Kano, Gusau, Katsina and Maiduguri axis in the morning. There are prospects of thunderstorm activities over most places within the region in the afternoon/evening hours. Night time temperatures are expected to be in the range of 23-28 o C.

CENTRAL STATES: There are prospects of early morning thunderstorm over Yola, Ibi and Mambilla axis. Late evening/overnight thunderstorms are anticipated over the high grounds of central states including Abuja, Minna, Bida, Kaduna and Jos. Night time temperatures are expected to be in the range of 20-29 o C.

SOUTHERN STATES: We anticipate early morning thunderstorm activities over Obudu, Ogoja, Calabar, Umuahia, Uyo and Port Harcourt axis. Isolated thunderstorm is anticipated later in the day over some places like Ado-Ekiti, Oshogbo, Akure, Benin and Enugu axis. Night time temperatures are expected to be in the range of 22-24 o C.
