Expect cloudy weather today, and thundery activities: NiMET

The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMET) has made the following predictions about Nigeria’s weather condition for today, Wednesday, May 11, 2016:

NORTHERN STATES: Cloudy condition is expected over some places around Sokoto, Kano, Gusau and Katsina in the morning. There is prospect of thundery activity around Nguru, Potiskum and Maiduguri axis in the afternoon/evening hours. Maximum temperatures for the day are expected to be in the range of 37-41oC.

CENTRAL STATES: Partly cloudy to cloudy condition is anticipated in the morning. Prospects of isolated thunderstorm over the high grounds of central states including Abuja, Minna, Bida, Kaduna and Jos in the afternoon/evening hours. Maximum temperatures for the day are expected to be in the range of 33-37oC.

SOUTHERN STATES: Cloudiness is expected over the coastal and inland cities in the morning. Isolated thunderstorm is anticipated later in the day over some places like Lagos, Port-Harcourt, Calabar, Enugu, Awka and Owerri. Maximum temperatures for the day are expected to be in the range of 33-34oC.
