Rain showers likely today in some parts of Nigeria: NiMET

The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMET) has made the following predictions about Nigeria’s weather condition for today, Monday, May 9, 2016:

NORTHERN STATES: Cloudy to partly cloudy condition is expected over most part of this region in the morning. Part of Sokoto, Yelwa, Gusau, Maiduguri Kano and Katsina will experience localised thunderstorms, in the morning/ evening hour. Night time temperatures are expected to be in the range of 23 - 26oC.

CENTRAL STATES: Cloudy condition is likely over the region in the morning. Part of Yola, Gombe, Bauchi and Jalingo will experience localised thunderstorms late afternoon/evening hour. Night time temperatures are expected to be in the range of 23 -27oC.

SOUTHERN STATES: Cloudy conditions are expected over this region in the morning, with prospect for scattered thunderstorms over Calabar, Eket, Akure Iseyin and Lagos in the morning hours. Port Harcourt, Lagos, Ibadan, Enugu, Akure, Awka and Yenagoa may likely experience rain showers in the afternoon/evening hours. Night time temperatures are expected to be in the range of 23-26oC.
