Today’s Weather: Expect sunshine, clouds and localised thunderstorms: NiMET

The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMET) has made the following predictions about Nigeria’s weather condition for today, Tuesday, May 3, 2016:

NORTHERN STATES: Nguru, Potiskum, Katsina and Maiduguri are expected to be sunny while other areas will be partly cloudy during the forecast period. Night time temperatures are expected to be in the range of 24-29oC.

CENTRAL STATES: Cloudy to partly cloudy conditions are anticipated in the morning. There are chances of isolated thunderstorms over some parts of the high ground areas of this region during the afternoon/evening period. Night time temperatures are expected to be in the range of 21-28oC.

SOUTHERN STATES: Increased cloudiness is expected over the region in the morning hours with chances of early morning rains over Lagos, Ijebu Ode, Akure and Ado Ekiti, while localised thunderstorms are not unlikely during the afternoon/evening period over, Port Harcourt, Calabar, Enugu, Awka and its environs. Night time temperatures are expected to be in the range of 22-26oC.
