NiMET predicts sun and haze today in the North, cloudy conditions in other parts of the country

The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMET) has made the following predictions about Nigeria’s weather condition for today, Monday, May 2, 2016:

NORTHERN STATES: Sunny condition is expected over some places like Sokoto, Kano, Gusau and Katsina while Potiskum, Nguru and Maiduguri will be sunny and hazy. Night time temperatures are expected to be in the range of 22-29oC.

CENTRAL STATES: Partly cloudy to cloudy condition is anticipated with Chances of isolated thundery activities over the high grounds of central states including Abuja, Minna, Bida and some parts of Plateau state in the afternoon/evening hours. Night time temperatures are expected to be in the range of 25-28oC.

SOUTHERN STATES: Cloudiness is expected over the coastal and inland cities in the morning. Prospects of isolated thunderstorm developing later in the day over some cities especially places like Lagos, Port Harcourt, Calabar, Enugu, Awka and Owerri. Night time temperatures are expected to be in the range of 23-27oC.
