Western Naval Command gets new Flag Officer

A new Flag Officer Commanding (FOC) has assumed duty at the Western Naval Command of the Nigerian Navy.

He is Rear Adm. Fergusson Bobai, formerly of the Naval Headquarters, Abuja.

Speaking on assumption of office in Lagos on Wednesday, the new FOC said he would continue with the good work of his predecessor, Rear Adm. Raphael Osondu.

He said “we are going to get the ship running to achieve the vision of the Chief of Naval Staff, Vice-Adm. Ibok Ete-Ibas.”

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that Rear Adm. Bobai is the 36th Flag Officer Commanding at the Command. (NAN)
