The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Bayelsa State on Tuesday called on the National and State secretariats of the All Progressives Congress (APC) to urgently settle the ongoing imbroglio within the rank and file of the APC in the state.

The party in a statement by its State Secretary, Mr. Keku Godspower, said it viewed with serious concern, the open quarrel among the APC’s top brass, stressing that urgent steps should be taken to deal with the crisis so that it doesn’t constitute a breach of the peace in the state.

Bayelsa PDP said it is not surprised that APC is fighting over the issue of buying and selling of federal appointments, pointing out that such has been the nature and character of the personalities, who once held positions of leadership in the state.

According to the PDP State Secretary, “As a party, we were glad that all this was coming to the open for the general public to see the stuff the characters involved in this brouhaha were made of.

“For them, anything can be bought, including their quest to bribe the judiciary to deliver judgement in their favour. Thankfully, the secret has come to public limelight and the whole world is watching to see how the judiciary will be compromised.”
