Sunny condition to prevail today in the North; clouds and thunderstorms elsewhere: NiMET

The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMET) has made the following predictions about Nigeria’s weather condition for today, Tuesday, April 5, 2016:

NORTHERN STATES: Sunny condition will prevail over Katsina, Nguru, Dutse, Maiduguri, Kano, Damaturu, Sokoto and Potiskum. Night time temperatures are expected to be in the range of 22-29oC.

CENTRAL STATES: Partly cloudy to cloudy conditions are anticipated in the morning with prospects of early morning thunderstorms over Southern Kaduna and Abuja from an overnight system while Makurdi, Ibi, Jalingo and Makurdi have prospects of thunderstorms in the afternoon/evening period. Night time temperatures are expected to be in the range of 24-28oC.

SOUTHERN STATES: Isolated thunderstorm is expected over the coastal cities especially over places like Lagos, Port Harcourt and Calabar in the afternoon/evening hours, including some parts of the inland cities. Night time temperatures are expected to be in the range of 23-27oC.
