Leading telecommunications services provider, Airtel Nigeria, has unveiled special Ramadan offerings to enable customers connect to families and loved ones at affordable rates and also boost their spiritual well-being with Islamic inspirational quotes throughout the holy month of Ramadan.

A statement on behalf of Airtel says that customers can receive inspiring, informative and enlightening services from Airtel by simply dialling *786#.

“They can also enjoy low international call rates to select destinations across the world.

Services customers will enjoy include prayers from Mecca – offered for free for five days. With this service, customers will be able to join their Muslim faithful in Mecca as they pray to Allah during this Ramadan,” said the statement, adding:

“Other services available free of charge for five days include Ramadan rules for fasting, Douaa and Hadith, Sahur and lots more.

“To subscribe to the special Airtel Ramadan packages and also access all the contents and applicable charges, customers are to dial *786# and select from the respective menu options.”

Speaking on the Airtel Ramadan service, the Chief Operating Officer (COO) and Executive Director of the company, Deepak Srivastava, said the offerings further demonstrates the importance Airtel places on the spiritual wellbeing of its customers across board.

He reiterated that the purpose for the Islamic season would be further enriched with the Airtel Ramadan offer as every customer that subscribes to any of these unique services would be greatly uplifted.

“We have carefully balanced the benefits not just with the Islamic content alone but also on the direct voice, SMS, data and roaming services which when combined, would further educate, inspire and above all, enhance communication and bonding between our Muslim brothers and sisters across the country and in the Diasporas,” the COO stated.

Customers can also enjoy spiritually uplifting services of Jummah sermons, Hajj tips, daily prayer wake up calls, among others, the statement said.

It added that “beside these benefits, customers will also enjoy special International call rates to Saudi Arabia and other 22 countries as Calls to USA, Canada, United Kingdom (UK) fixed lines, India and China are charged at N8.33/min.”
