The Governor, when he visited the Lagos residence of the founder of the defunct Nigeria Advance Party (NAP), on Thursday said: “Despite Braithwaite’s parentage and affluence, he decided to identify with the struggles of the Nigerian masses.”

Amosun, who was received by Braithwaite’s widow, Grace, praised herlate husband’s “steadfast and determined” disposition to life, adding that his family have every reason to be grateful to God.

Amosun promised that his government would continue with the legacies left behind by the legendary politician.

Also speaking when he paid a condolence visit to the wife of the late Ibru, Chief (Mrs.) Matilda Ibru, Amosun stated that he would be remembered as an easy going man, who in his days at the Senate influenced many positively.

“People like him don’t die. His works will be there for others to see,” the Governor noted.
