Nigeria’s leading online daily, News Express, has introduced two new features even as it welcomes on board two new Columnists as part of its efforts to stay ahead of competition.

The latest column RIGHTSVIEW is written by popular activist Emmanuel Onwubiko. A former Federal Commissioner of Nigeria’s National Human Rights Commission, Onwubiko is presently National Coordinator of Human Rights Writers’ Association of Nigeria (HURIWA). RIGHTSVIEW is to appear twice a week on Tuesdays and Saturdays and will analyse and discuss topical issues.

The column debuts later today – three days after we introduced yet another column, SUCCESS FACTOR, an empowerment column written by Kenneth Nkemnacho, a well-known London-based author and motivational writer. COINCIDENCES appears every other Wednesday, alternating with COINCIDENCES column written by the London-based scholar and researcher, Augustine Togonu-Bickersteth.

Meanwhile, News Express has introduced a video feature as well as LIVE COMMENTARY, a column that serves live commentary of big events, especially important football matches. News Express is the only Nigeria-focused online paper offering live commentary.

Commenting on these innovations, News Express Publisher Isaac Umunna said: “These are part of our efforts to add value to our content offering and we are not yet done. The best is yet to come.”

News Express has the most diverse coverage among Nigeria-focused online papers. It is number one in breaking news, business, sports, entertainment and religion. Its content partnership agreement with the African Press Organization (APO) further sets the paper apart from the rest of the pack.
