NiMET predicts sunny condition today in the North, clouds, thunderstorms and early morning rains elsewhere

The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMET) has made the following predictions about Nigeria’s weather condition for today, Saturday, March 26, 2016:

NORTHERN STATES: Sunny condition is expected over the northern states. Night time temperatures are expected to be in the range of 30-26oC.

CENTRAL STATES: Cloudy morning is anticipated over this region with chances of localised thunderstorms over Southern Kaduna and Jos, southern Part of Abuja, Lokoja, Makurdi, Jalingo, Ibi, Lafia and Mambila plateau during the evening hours. Night time temperatures are expected to be in the range of 24 - 27oC.

SOUTHERN STATES: Cloudy weather conditions are expected over this region with chances of early morning rains/thunderstorms over Calabar, Eket, Umuahia and Port Harcourt. Thunderstorms are likely over some parts of the cities within this region in the afternoon/evening period. Night time temperatures are expected to be in the range of 22-25oC.
