SHOCKER: Osun State gets ONLY N6m from Federation Account as Feb. 2016 allocation

In what is apparently to be a record, the State of Osun, South-West Nigeria, has received a mere N6 million as monthly allocation from the Federation Account.

The shocking record was set last month, February 2016, according to the Federation Account Allocation Committee (FAAC) as published on Friday by the Office of the Accountant-General of the Federation. The FAAC, however, explained in a note immediately following the N6m allocation for Osun that it was “due to debts deducted from the source.”

This is gives an idea of how bad the situation has become in Osun, where public servants are hardly paid even as the State Government under the watch of Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola of the All Progressives Congress (APC) undertakes grandiose projects, including an airport.
