Mimiko signs N123 billion Ondo 2016 Budget into law

The Governor of Ondo State, Dr Olusegun Mimiko, today signed into law the 2016 appropriation

bill of over 123 billion naira.

The signing, which was done at the Cocoa Conference Hall of the Governor’s Office in Akure, had in attendance majority of the members of the State House of Assembly led by the Speaker, Princess Jumoke Akindele.

The budget has over 69 billion naira, representing 55.93 percent of the budget, as recurrent estimate and over 54 billion naira which represents 44.07 percent as capital estimate.

The budget had earlier been increased by 5 billion naira from 118 to 123 billion naira during scrutiny and passage by the State House of Assembly.

Governor Mimiko after appending his signature on the appropriation bill, promised to implement the budget and deliver more dividends of good governance to the people of Ondo State.
