The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMET) has made the following predictions about Nigeria’s weather condition for today, Tuesday, March 2, 2016:

NORTHERN STATES: Cities like Kano, Katsina, Nguru, Gusau, Damaturu, and Sokoto are expected to be sunny. Night time temperatures are expected to be in the range, 22-25oC.

CENTRAL STATES: Partly cloudy condition is expected with prospects of isolated rain showers over Makurdi and Lokoja during afternoon/evening hours at the forecast period. Night time temperatures are expected to be in the range, 22-26oC.

SOUTHERN STATES: Cloudy condition is expected over the southern region in the morning with prospects of isolated thunderstorms in the afternoon/evening hours at the forecast period. Night time temperatures are expected to be in the range, 24-26oC.

NOTE: During this period of the year, the atmosphere is usually very dry and sunny. Citizens should avoid substances that may ignite easily to reduce incidences of fire outbreaks. Also drink enough water to hydrate your body system.
