A deadly explosion this afternoon ripped through the headquarters of the Anti-bomb unit of the Nigeria Police in Yola, capital of Adamawa state, a report from the area said.
A witness quoted by the online edition of Daily Trust newspaper said that many corpses of policemen and civilians were lying in the premises in the aftermath of the blast.
Adamawa is one of the North East states where Boko Haram insurgents have killed thousands of people and displaced millions.
Yola had experienced similar blasts in the past including mosque.
