Delegates from Cameroon have arrived Nigeria for the maiden international youth congress being organised by the Biafra Nations Youth League (BNYL).
BNYL Leader, Comrade Chiemezie Obuka, told News Express that the separatist group “Rufasca sent a three-man delegation to represent former British Southern Cameroon” at the conference advertised to hold in Ikom, Cross River State.
“The three persons whose identity we will not publish yet until they grant it are coming from Beau division, Bamenda and Mamfe subdivision. Two arrived yesterday but the leading delegate is still on the way,” Obuka said. He hinted that the congress, originally scheduled to hold on February 27, has been brought forward to this weekend.
The BNYL leader disclosed that the Cameroonian delegation is expected “to make official declaration of alliance” with his group, describing this as a significant development in the efforts to revive the shortlived Republic of Biafra.
