A warrant of arrest has been reportedly issued for the erstwhile PDP secretary in Ekiti State, Tope Aluko for perjury.

The warrant of arrest according to Lere Olayinka, a media aid to Ekiti state governor, Ayo Fayose is as a result of his allegations on the 2014 governorship election in the state while speaking on Channels TV on Sunday January 31.

According to a tweet credited to Lere Olayinka, “Court issued Warrant of Arrest against TKO Aluko for perjury. Police ordered to arrest him.”

The former Ekiti state PDP Secretary alleged that the Ekiti state governorship election was rigged and that former President Goodluck Jonathan gave Fayose $35 million to rig the election.

The same Aluko had at a state election tribunal last year, testified that the election was free and fair.
