New Kogi Governor appoints principal officers

Hours after he was sworn-in as the new Governor of Kogi State, Alhaji Yahaya Bello yesterday evening announced the appointment of his principal officers.

A statement personally signed by the Governor named Onoja Edward David as Chief of Staff, Abdulkarim Omuya Adubi Abdulmalik as Special Adviser, Media and Strategy, and Kingsley Olorunfemi Fanwo as Chief Press Secretary.

Before his appointment, Mr. Onoja Edward David, who hails from Ogugu in Olamaboro LGA of Kogi State, had risen to management positions in several blue chip enterprises in both the financial and oil and gas sectors of the economy. He is a tested administrator.

Abdulkarim Omuya Adubi Abdulmalik, who hails from Ihima in Okehi LGA of Kogi State, is a seasoned journalist, social media expert and media consultant.

Mr. Kingsley Famwo, who hails from Takete Ide Amuro in Mopamuro LGA of Kogi State, was until his appointment a Correspondent with a leading national newspaper.

The appointments are with immediate effect.
