Super Eagles attacking midfielder Ikechukwu Ibenegbu has said the sing song among his teammates is ‘Tunisia must fall’.
The Eagles will confront the Carthage Eagles in Friday’s Group C match day 2 clash in Kigali at the ongoing African Nations Championship (CHAN) in Rwanda.
The 2014 bronze winners outclassed the Menas of Niger 4-0 in a match day 1 clash on Monday while the North Africans shared the spoils 2-2 with their West African counterparts, Guinea.
Ibenegbu said his side have put behind them the massive victory against Niger and are focused 100 per cent on recording another stunning win against the 2011 CHAN winners.
“We are just happy to win our first game against Niger which is very important for us in the championship.
“I tell you there is nothing there yet for us to celebrate as we are focused on the second group clash against Tunisia on Friday.
“Our sing song right now is ‘Tunisia must fall’. They are good side despite the 2-2 draw against Guinea.
“Of course, we quite understand that no team in the championship is cheap including the Nigerien side we defeated 4-0 in the first game.
“We will give the Tunisians maximum respect on the field of play but the whole three points must be ours,” said the Warri Wolves ace to supersport.com.
Victory for the Eagles against Tunisians will take the West Africans to the quarterfinals baring the outcome of the last group match against Guinea on Tuesday. (Supersport)
