Buratai, the hometown of the Chief olf Army Staff, Lt. Gen. Tukur Buratai, is currently under Boko Haram attack, a report from the area said.

Buratai is located in Biu Local Government Area of Borno State, North-East Nigeria.

The daring attack comes days to the end of the December deadline given to the Nigerian military by President Buhari to defeat Boko Haram.

This is the second time Boko Haram would be attacking Buratai since July 2015, when the incumbent Army Chief took office.

The teroorists had also attacked the community in February 2014, when Buratai, then a Major General, was the head of the Joint Task Force in the Niger Delta.
