Immediate past Nigerian President, Dr. Goodluck Jonathan, has become the first African leader in and out of office to be selected for honour by the Diplomatic Circle, a group of diplomats from all round the world.
Information reaching News Express has it that Jonathan will be honoured on January 21, 2016 at the yearly Dinner/Gala Night of the Diplomatic Circles in Geneva, Switzerland, “for his democratic credentials and upholding human rights in Africa.”
“Jonathan will be the guest of honour and will equally deliver a keynote address at the event,” a source close to the organisers said.
“This goes to show that President Jonathan has become not just a national asset to Nigeria but to the African continent and global community,” the source said.
