There is an ongoing clash between supporters of James Faleke and Yahaya Bello a.k.a Fair Plus at the National Secretariat of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in Wuse 11, Abuja.
Both men are top contenders in the search for a substitute for Prince Abubakar Audu, the APC candidate for the Kogi State governorship election, who died shortly after the ballot was declared inconclusive by INEC.While Faleke was Audu’s running mate, Bello came second during the party primaries that produced late Audu as candidate for the inconclusive elelction.
Both men have been insiting on their right to substitute Audu – which must be done latest today, according to INEC.
Their supporters are currently engaged in a serious battle, throwing stones at the secretariat building, including at the journalists and passers by.
