National Leader of Biafra Nations Youth League, Comrade Prince C Obuka, has expressed displeasure over the recent warning by Nigerian Army against Pro-Biafra activists.
“Our attention has been drawn by the threats coming from Nigerian Army against Biafra agitators. We want to make it clear that no amount of threats will stop our struggle for total liberation,” Obuka said in a statement signed by the group’s Public Relations Officer Aghaulor Godspower.
Continuing, the League said: “Biafran activists are not terrorists, we have every right to embark on a peaceful demonstration hence we are not violent. The use of force to scuttle the Biafran peaceful movement, if care is not taken, will cause serious national crises in Nigeria which may lead to another deadly war between Nigeria and Biafra.
“We reject the call for negotiation by Ohanaeze Ndigbo. We cannot negotiate to have Biafra because we were not consulted before our territory was annexed by the Colonial Lord Lugard,
“Though negotiation is ideal to avoid bloodshed but any round table meeting organised in Nigeria by Nigerians without the involvement of UN and AU officials will be ignored.
“The claim by Arewa Consultative Forum that Pro-Biafra protesters attacked a Hausa community in Port Harcourt is untrue, this is just a mere allegation aimed at tarnishing the image of Biafra and blackmailing Biafra agitators so as to use it as an excuse to wipe innocent Biafrans exercising their right.
“Let it be clear to ACF that we are not as foolish as most northerners who kill innocent people like animals in the name of religion.
“Air Chief Marshal should be ready to face International Criminal Court after killing us for we are not ready to give up the struggle.”
