TheSenate yesterday condemned the recent bomb blast in Adamawa State and has urged the security agencies to intensify their hunt down the perpetrators.

This followed a motion brought before the Senate by Senator Ahmadu Abubakar (Adamawa South).

Seconding the motion, Senator Abdulaziz Murtala Nyako of Adamawa Central lamented and spoke of the untold hardship being faced by the people of the state. “The people are indeed suffering after the blast,” he said.

Senator Mao Ohuabunwa fromAbia also joined the debate, lighting the need to take proactive measures to check the spate of bombings, insurrection and terrorism in the country.

The Senate raised a delegation to be led by the Senate leader, Ali Ndume, to commiserate with the people, families affected and government of the state. Other members include Senators Yayi Adeola, Gbenga Ashafa, and other three Adamawa Senators.
