NiMET predicts cloudy weather and thunderstorms today

The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMET) has made the following predictions about Nigeria’s weather condition for today, Saturday 24, 2015:

COASTAL AREAS: Cloudy condition in the South East coast with chances of localised rain showers in the south west coast in the morning while prospects of localised rain showers in the entire region during the afternoon/evening hours.

INLAND AREAS: Cloudy morning conditions are expected over the entire region with chances of localised thunderstorms to affect the entire inland cities in the afternoon/evening.

CENTRAL STATES: Cloudy conditions will prevail over the remaining part of the region in the morning while Localised thunderstorms are expected to affect the high ground areas of central state and Yola, Mambilla Plateau axis during the afternoon/evening hours.

NORTHERN STATES: Partly cloudy conditions are expected to prevail in most part of the northern cities with chances of localised thundery activities around Maiduguri in the morning. While sunny conditions are expected to affects some northern cities with prospects of localised thundery activity around southern Maiduguri in the afternoon/evening hours.
