They are all naturally pretty and have names to magnet attention anytime and anywhere. But pitiably, these five front liners are all Nollywood divorcees with varying situations and reasons behind their stories. On the line-up are Evangelist Eucheria Anunobi, Fathia Williams, Shan George, Clarion Chukwurah, and Monalisa Chinda.
Evangelist Eucharia Anunobi: This ever good-looking top actress who was a delight to behold on stage because of her diction and carriage, does not appear to be lucky in her marriage, despite the confessed love for her ex-husband businessman, Charles Ekwu. We scooped that in those days when they were newly engaged, both used to hold hands romantically, walking the streets of Ajao Estate almost every night. But when Satan inched into their marriage quietly, the beats changed suddenly as their professed love started to shake and finally collapsed before they could know what actually transpired. The "coffin" was said to have been nailed when Ekwu left their Ikeja home after allegedly caught fondling with their house girl then. Imagine!
Fathia Williams: Hers appears to be divine because sources maintained that twice, she got married; and twice divorced, before meeting her current husband, Mr Williams. Why the two cases of divorce? It's difficult to fathom because feelers close to her insisted that she's not the trouble-making type. In her case with Saudi Balogun, we gathered that Balogun’s intolerance and consistent battering forced her out of the union which produced some big boys and a girl, before settling down with Williams whom she's still married to till date.
Shan George: The case of this mixed blood top actress simply has to do with frequent bashings of her intolerant husband who married her when she was just 15 years old. That tender age clause, according to close feelers, may have been responsible for her many misdeeds which her ex husband couldn't condone for once. Hence, she did not think twice before she bolted out of the marriage which threatened her precious life. However, she went to UNILAG afterwards and returned to a second marriage. But also turned her back on it years after for reasons bothering on alleged master/servant relationship on the part of the supposed haughty hubby.
Clarion Chukwurah: This cross over and celebrated actress actually hugged fame as far back as 1984 when she starred in the defunct "Mirror in the Sun" series on NTA. Investigations revealed boldly that the bad mama of Nigerian movies has been married twice and divorced twice too like few other colleagues. Chukwurah’s decision may find a quick justification in her strong belief that marriage is a necessary fusion of two like minds on the platform of joyful co-existence, while the mutual love lasts. In her own case, which is obviously Unique, she has no disturbing record of leaving any of her husbands on a quarrelsome note, unlike most who frowned at their ex who turned them maliciously into bunching bags before they bolted out pitiably. However, she added that once she notices that the love has slacked, she would take a quick and quiet walk from it, maintaining that this doesn't make both parties an enemy to each other. No wonder, she's still friendly with the fathers of her babies, including SSP, whom she actually had Clarence for in 1982.
Monalisa Chinda: The beautiful role interpreter who is really on the quiet side of life was very unfortunate to have fallen into the hands of her former manager-turned husband, Dejo Richards, as a wife. He was alleged to have been very intolerant with her mistakes, punching her anyhow as a result. The dehumanization, according to feelers, were so disturbing that Chinda had to hire the services of fiery lawyer, Festus Keyamo, who maintained that the cruel marriage had broken down irretrievably due to irreconcilable differences as a result of their incompatibility, insisting that this was the main source of their misunderstandings. This dog and cat situation became disturbing when placed against the backdrop of Monalisa’s popular stance that nothing can break down the marriage made in heaven. Can she still say that now of this manhandling Richard as being God sent? Never, ever, never again. Oh yeah!
