Today’s weather: Expect cloudy conditions, thunderstorms and rains —NiMET

The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMET) has made the following predictions about Nigeria’s weather condition for today, Monday, October 12, 2015:


Coastal Areas: Cloudy conditions are expected over the entire coast in the morning. Localised thunderstorms/rains are expected to prevail over the entire region in the afternoon/evening hours.

Inland Areas: Localised rains are expected over the south-west, while over the south-east, places like Enugu, Awka and Owerri axis are likely to experience localised rains. Cloudy condition will prevail over the other parts of the region in the morning. Cloudy afternoon are expected over the south-west, while localized thunderstorms are expected over the south-east in the afternoon/evening hours.

Central States: Localised thunderstorms are expected to affect areas like Lafia, Makurdi, Ogoja and Ibi axis, while cloudy condition will prevail over the other parts of the central states in the morning. Localised thunderstorms are expected over the North-West, while cloudy conditions will prevail over the North-East in the afternoon/evening hours.

NORTHERN STATES: Partly cloudy conditions are expected over the entire region in the morning. Localised thundery activity will prevail over Yelwa, Gusau, Kano, Dutse and Potiskum, Nguru axis, while partly cloudy conditions are expected over Sokoto, Katsina axis in the afternoon/evening hours.
