2023 Presidency: Ebonyi to vote massively for APC, says Umahi

Governor of Ebonyi State, Engr. David Umahi, on Monday, said that come 2023, the people of the state would vote massively for the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, and other candidates on the platform of the party.

Addressing Journalists in Abakaliki, after the State Executive Council meeting, the Commissioner for information and State Orientation, Mr Uchenna Orji, said that Umahi expressed readiness of the state government towards the national agenda, not any tribal agenda.

Umahi who described his recent presidential outing as an adventure, alleged that Ohaneze Ndigbo betrayed him.

He regretted that the apex Igbo socio-cultural organization could not speak out for Ndigbo at a time it mattered most.

The Governor was quoted as saying “the Governor in Exco described his recent Presidential outing as an adventure with many lessons. He reiterated the unwavering support of Ebonyi State to All Progressives Congress (APC).

“He regretted that Ohanaeze Ndigbo as the apex Igbo socio-cultural organization could not speak out for Ndigbo at a time it mattered most.

“He expressed commitment of Ebonyi State Government towards Nigeria’s agenda and not any tribal agenda. He said that the votes of the people of Ebonyi State belong to APC.”
