CAN felicitates with Muslims on Eid-el-Kabir, urges prayers for Nigeria, leadership

The Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) has felicitated with Nigerian Muslims on the ocassion of the 2015 Eid-el-Kabir celebrations.

CAN said in a statement issued in Abuja and signed by the President, Pastor Ayo Oristejafor: “Ocassions like this calls for sober reflection and submission to the will of the Almighty in the life of a nation its citizens.

“This auspicious ocassion should remind faithful and indeed all Nigerians of the need to get closer to God in all aspects of our nation’s life.

“No doubt our nation is going through trying times – the menace of Boko Haram, the kidnappings are manifestations of the harsh realities facing Nigerians.”

Pastor Oritsejafor urged “all faithful to use the ocassion of the Sallah celebrations to pray for our country and its leadership for no amount of prayer can be said to be too much for our nation.”

He congratulated all Nigerian Muslims and wished them a happy Eid-el-Kabir celebrations.
