Ex-Presidential Aide, Joseph Makoju, dies in Abuja

Joseph Oyeyani Makoju, a former aide to ex-President Goodluck Jonathan, has been pronounced dead.

the former presidential aide died at a private hospital in Abuja on Monday.

Makoju was also a former Managing Director/ Chief Executive Officer of Dangote Cement Plc, one of the subsidiaries of Dangote Group.

Details of his death were still sketchy as of the time of filing its report.

Makoju was born on 13 July 1948 in Okene, Kogi State, North Central Nigeria.

He graduated from the University of Nottingham, UK, in 1972 with First Class Honour earning BSc in mechanical engineering; and M.Phil. mechanical engineering in 1974 from the same university.

Makoju attended National Institute for Policy and Strategic Studies NIPSS, Kuru, Jos (mni) from 1989 to 1990. He also holds an honorary Doctor of Science degree in engineering from the Federal University of Agriculture, Makurdi. (Agency Report)
