All is set for the formal declaration of accomplished lawyer and administrator, Senator Emma Nwaka, for the Abia State 2023 governorship race.

The event is billed for next week Tuesday, February 15, 2022, at a consultation session with the State Executive Committee of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), the ruling party in the state.

Confirming the event scheduled to hold in Umuahia, the state capital, Senator Nwaka said in a short note to invitees: “Come Tuesday, February 15, 2022 at the time and place indicated, I shall have the privilege of presenting myself formally as a governorship aspirant to the State Executive Committee of our party, PDP. I hereby humbly request that you honour me with your presence at the event. Thank you and God bless.”

A former two-term Chairman of the Abia State Chapter of PDP, Nwaka is promising “a new thing” if given the ticket by PDP and elected by Ndi Abia to lead them during the 2023 polls.

His campaign theme, according to a poster released by the Emma Nwaka Campaign Organisation, is “Let’s do a new thing 2023”.
