Kano State Government has said it would provide its intending pilgrims with free three daily meals during their stay in Mina and Arafat in Saudi Arabia.
The State’s Deputy Governor, Professor Hafiz Abubakar, made the promise while addressing the intending pilgrims at a closing session of an enlightenment workshop for the intending pilgrims in Kano on Thursday.
He said the government of Abdullahi Ganduje will also ensure that the pilgrims received two free daily meals during their stay in Makka and Madina.
The deputy governor said the state government was putting all the necessary machineries in place to ensure the wellbeing of the pilgrims while in the holy land.
He advised them to dedicate themselves to seeking more knowledge, not only at home, but also during the pilgrimage.
Abubakar called on them to be good ambassadors of the state and the country as a whole.
Earlier, the Executive Secretary of the State Pilgrims Board, Malam Abba Yakubu, called on the intending pilgrims to be at the camp early to avoid missing their flights.
According to him, any pilgrim that missed flight must wait for 2016 and would pay extra charges.
Yakubu added that arrangements to ensure hitch free exercise have reached advance stage. (NAN)
