Governor Okezie Ikpeazu has vowed to remain focused despite the antics of the opposition in the state to distract him.

Receiving in audience, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) stakeholders from Abiriba, Ikpeazu said that “it is unfortunate that the opposition is doing everything possible to distract me and deceive the people.”

The governor assured that whatever was right for the people would continue to be accorded priority by his administration, adding that he was accountable to God and the people that elected him.

He promised to support the Abiriba PDP stakeholders to move the party to greater heights while assuring that every part of the state would have a feel of his administration.

The Governor noted that Ohafia local government was important in the political equation of the state, adding that government would undertake many interventions in the area as it was poised to complete the Abiriba Ring Road and adorn it with street lights.

The on-going ring road construction, was part of his administration’s effort to return Abiriba to its former status, Ikpeazu said.

He commended the leadership of PDP in Abiriba for galvanizing the party and urged others to emulate their good example.

Earlier in his speech, leader of the delegation, Prince George Nnanna Kalu, congratulated the Governor for embarking on the construction of 30 roads across the state of which the Abiriba ring road was one.

Kalu assured the Governor that they would solidly support his government and disclosed that the PDP in Abiriba has invented proactive measures to reposition the party and appealed to him consider Abiriba sons and daughters for appointments.
