Former Kogi Governor and Jakadan Sokoto, Alhaji Ibrahim Idris, has sent a message of condolence to His Eminence, Sultan of Sokoto, Alhaji Mohammed Sa’ad Abubakar and Sokoto state government and the people of the state over the unfortunate attack that led to the death of 30 traders, and many others with diverse degrees of injuries.

In the message, the title holder of Sokoto caliphate prayed for an end to ceaseless attack of bandit’s and kidnappers in the North-West, particularly Kebbi, Zamfara and now Sokoto State.

He wondered why despite combined efforts of security agencies, the attacks remain unabated, and prayed for an end to such unfortunate situation.

He called for more aggressive approach through collective efforts to nip in the bud all moves by the dissidents and their collaborators threatening the peaceful states of Sokoto, Kebbi and Zamfara.

He prayed for the repose of the souls of those killed in the attack, while urging the people of the caliphate to pray against the repeat of such event in the future.
