Secretary to the Government of Imo State (SGI), Sir Jude Ejiogu, yesterday washed his hands off a letter on Facebook credited to him as well as a Facebook account in his name urging innocent Imolites to embrace and purchase a N2 billion Agric Loan form at the Ministry of Agriculture in the state.
The announcement made to appear as if it emanated from Sir Ejiogu’s office reads in part:

Responding to the announcement, Sir Ejiogu’s Special Assistant on Media/Publicity, Ikenna Onuoha, said in a statement in Owerri: “For the avoidance of doubt, Sir Jude Ejiogu is the Secretary to the Government of Imo State (SGI) and has ceased to be the chief of staff and commissioner for special duties since June 8th, 2015 when he was sworn in for his new position.
“The general public is by this rebuttal warned to desist from further reception of information of any kind from the said impostor, any individual or group of persons claiming to be the genuine Sir Jude Ejiogu with the intention of negotiating, dealing or transacting any business whatsoever on the internet or social media platforms.
“It is worthy of note that Sir Jude Ejiogu, in his capacity as the Secretary to the Government of Imo State could not have circulated such information (genuine or false), which is a sole right of the Ministry of Agriculture and Natural Resources to do so in case of any Agricultural Loan, since he is neither a Commissioner nor the Public Relation Officer (PRO) of the Ministry.
“May we sound it very clearly that this disclaimer from the office of the Secretary to the Government of Imo State serves as a final warning to some gullible individuals who may easily fall victim of this orchestrated, malicious and malignant act against the person of Sir Jude Ejiogu by mischief makers, as any compromise to deal or transact business with the said impostor does that at his or her own risk, while we advice the swindler to refrain from the criminal act as security operatives have been briefed on this latest development.
“The general public can also call the Special Assistant (Security) to the SGI on: 08034087291 or Special Assistant (Media/Publicity) to the SGI on 08069023293 for more clarification.
