. . .Restates Commitment To proposed Polytechnic Upgrade, Improved Academic Standard, Increase in Internally Generated Revenue

The Provost, College of Health Sciences and Technology, Ijero-Ekiti (COHESTI), Dr (Mrs) Olajumoke Adebayo, has expressed heartfelt gratitude to the Governor of Ekiti State, Dr Kayode Fayemi and the Governing Council of the institution led by Prof. Kehinde Oluwadiya, for facilitating her reinstatement, ten weeks after the ugly incident that disrupted smooth running of activities in the College.

While recently delivering her “thank you” address at the remedial hall of the College, Dr Adebayo appreciated staff of the institution for not only standing by the Deputy Provost, but also cooperating with other principal officers of the college, while she was away.

The Provost, who lauded the college’s affiliate committee for her efforts towards increasing the institution’s internally generated revenue, expressed hope that her management’s vision towards transforming the College to a Polytechnic would not be truncated.

Apart from urging Staff of the College to strengthen their human relations mechanism with Students as a means of encouraging prospective applicants towards making the College of Health Sciences and Technology Ijero-Ekiti their choice, Dr Adebayo advised them against engaging in unlawful acts including admission racketeering and lateness to work, which she said could birth stagnancy and poor productivity.

In separate reactions, some members of staff of the College, including Messrs Victor Oluwatuyi, Femi Fakiya, Augustine Agboola, and Opemipo Olusegun, who expressed joy that the Provost returned to the College hale and hearty promised to strengthen the harmonious relationship between management and the different unions in the college in order to move the institution to greater height.

The meeting had in attendance Principal Officers of the College, including the Deputy Provost; Mr kayode Abolarin, the Acting Registrar; Mr Olumide Dada, the Bursar; Mrs Funmilayo Alonge; the Librarian; Mr Folorunsho Olayinka, Union Representatives, Deans, Directors, Heads of Department as well as other Academic and Non-Academic Staff of the College.
