He described the late Etsy Chikun as a father of peace, while assuring of "a continuous harmonious relationship with the host community and more community impact investment from the KRPC and NNPC family that would better the lives of youth, women and general members of the community."

The Deputy Manager (DM) Quality Control, Emmanuel Ajiboye offered a Christian prayer on behalf of KRPC for the soul of the departed Etsu Chikun.

The first class chief died at the age of 67 at 44 Army Reference Hospital, Kaduna, on Wednesday, after a protracted illness.

He was buried at his palace at Ungwan Romi, Chikun local government.

He was appointed SA Gbagyi I of Kaduna State on December 29,2000 and installed on January1,2001 as third class chief.

In a move aimed at rewarding diligent and hardworking traditional ruler, Governor Nasir el-Rufai had in 2018 approved his elevation to Etsu a first class chief of Chikun.
