The Anambra State House of Assembly has queried the process followed in the employment of personnel at the Anambra International Airport and the Ministry of Justice.

To this end, the House summoned some state officials, including commissioners for Works, the Attorney General/Commissioner for Justice to appear before it to give insight on the procedure of employment.

During a plenary session at the state House of Assembly Complex, Awka, presided by the Speaker, Rt. Hon. Uche Okafor, the lawmakers resolved that the employment is null and void, having not followed due process.

The irate lawmakers insisted that no state fund would be used to pay salaries of staff purportedly employed or in the process of being employed at the Anambra International Airport and Ministry of Justice respectively.

The Assembly in its invitation said that the Anambra State House of Assembly will re-authorize employment for the Anambra Airport and Ministry of Justice following due process
