A former Commissioner for Health in Kogi State, Dr Idris Omede, has commended Ejeh Dekina, Alhaji Usman Obaje, for recognizing and rewarding hard work, selfless and community service.

Omede noted that the Ejeh Dekina demonstrated and exemplified these virtues on Saturday May 15, 2021, in his palace, when he conferred and beaded Chief Isah Harrie Salifu (Ph.D) as Omachi Ejeh Dekina.

Omede, a former President of both Nigerian Medical Association (NMA) and Association of Professional Bodies of Nigeria (APBN), praised the paramount ruler of Dekina and Chairman, Igala Area Traditional Council, Alhaji (Dr) Usman Obaje, for the recognition.

He described Chief (Dr) Salifu as an astute professional who through dint of hard work performed meritoriously as a banker in many financial institutions in the country, “occupying numerous managerial and executive positions, touching many lives.”

Omede noted that the recipient “had a humble, disciplined beginning, grilled with numerous challenges, but excel in domestic chores, educational and work pursuit, human capital development and enhancement.”
