Perturbed by the unfolding developments in the country’s political and economic space since the 2015 general elections, a civil society group, Nigerians United For Democracy (NUD), South-West chapter, is convening a roundtable to deliberate on the state of the nation.
The group said in a statement signed by the South-West Convener, Olanrewaju Suraj, that the roundtable is a civil society based in response to the myriads of unfolding economic, political and social development in the country’s Post-2015 General Elections.
It stated that the forum is aimed at providing a platform to aggregate positions, opinions and submissions by representatives of different sectors of the Civil Society in setting people- oriented and constructive agenda for the newly inaugurated government.
The event is scheduled to hold at the Social Justice Center, Femi Falana Chambers, 25, Adekunle Fajuyi way, G. R. A, Ikeja on Wednesday June 17, 2015 by 10am.
Speakers expected to deliver papers includes: Henry Boyo; ‘Fuel Subsidy; myth or reality’, Dr. Biola Akiode-Afolabi; ‘Political Stability & Women Participation in Politics’ and Mr. Monday Ubani; ‘Funding manifestos and government programmers through fight against corruption’.
