Panic, gridlock as cultists take over Lagos-Abeokuta expressway

Motorists and commuters had a hectic time making their way to work Monday morning as groups of young men took to the Alakuko-Tollgate axis of the Lagos-Abeokuta expressway brandishing all sorts of dangerous weapons ranging from long knife, cutlass, axe and dagger to short gun causing serious panic in the area.

Daily Independent gathered that the boys were suspected to be members of rival cult groups who were most likely out on vendetta prowl agaainst one another.

Police operatives of the Alakuko police station were allegedly seen helplessly watching even as human and vehicular movements were held standstill for at least thirty minutes.
