The police in Zone 2, comprising of Lagos and Ogun State Commands, with headquarters in Onika, Lagos have warned unscrupulous members of the public to desist from what it termed misleading allegations against members of the force in a bid to foment trouble in the NITEL area of Ikorodu in Lagos, saying it would deal decisively with hoodlums who engage in act capable of breaking law and order in the Zone.

The Sunmolu Royal Family in Ikorodu has also warned trouble makers to desist from any act that may puncture the peace, law and order in NITEL, Itamaga and other parts of the Lagos community.

The image maker in charge of the Zone 2 police command, Hauwa Idirs-Adamu, in a statement also denied that the police from the command led an operation to demolish any building in the area in question.

The PPRO said, “We (Zone 2) have no business with demolition of any house in Ikorodu. It is just that some unscrupulous elements are trying to foment trouble in the area.”

She added, “The Lagos State police PRO has responded to their allegations. I don’t know why they keep mentioning everybody’s name everywhere.” (The Independent)
