Deputy National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Prince Uche Secondus, is to act as the party’s Acting National Chairman following the resignation of the embattled Alhaji Adamu Mu’azu.
The PDP National Chairman threw in the towel this morning via a letter to Secondus, Muazu, in which he said that due to the disastrous performance of the party in the March 28 presidential election won by the opposition, it has become imperative for him to quit the stage so that peace may reign in the party.
Mu’azu in the letter requested Secondus to take over as Acting National Chairman in line with PDP’s constitution.
The party’s National Working Committee (NWC) is currently meeting on the development.
