Ohanaeze Presidency: Prof. Obiozor recovers from health challenge, resumes campaign

Prof. George Obiozor, proposed Imo State consensus candidate for the position of President General of Ohanaeze Ndigbo, is well and back on the campaign trail, his Campaign Office has announced.

Prof. Obiozor, a frontrunner in the coming January 2021 election, had collapsed yesterday (Sunday, December 20) and was carried out unconscious from the venue of the Imeobi meeting of the organisation at the Nike Lake Resort, Enugu.

“He had some challenges which have been taken care of,” the Obiozor Campaign Office said in a short note.

“He returned to Owerri Sunday evening and will be attending scheduled meetings today,” it added.

It is Imo State’s turn to produce the President General of Ohanaeze and Prof. Obiozor’s reported adoption as consensus is being opposed by other aspirants, meaning that all qualified would likely test their popularity during next month’s ballot.
