The Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), Ikorodu Branch, Lagos, hosts her 2015 edition and 10th Law Week tagged, ‘The Era of Change’.
The Law Week is a week set aside by the branches of the NBA across the country to celebrate the legal profession.
The programme of activities released yesterday by the Chairman, Adedotun Adebayo-Adetunji Esq, showed that Ikorodu Branch commenced her Law Week yesterday to continue till May 14, 2015.
Aerobics/ Fitness walk at Fun Factory, Itamaga, Ikorodu features today at 7 am. Later in the evening a programme called Variety Evening also holds at NBA Secretariat, Behind Unique Blossom School and Library, off Otunba TOS Benson Road, Ikorodu, Lagos State at 4.00pm.
There is going to be Special Thanksgiving Service on Sunday at Catholic Church, Okeriya, Ikorodu at 8.30am.
On Monday, members would visit the Honourable Chief Judge of Lagos State at the Honourable Chief Judge’s Chambers, Ikeja, Lagos at 9.00am, followed by another visit to Kirikiri/Ikoyi Prison at 12 noon.

General Elections will be discussed by the Guest Lecturer Joseph Bodunrin Daudu (SAN), a former President, NBA. Chairman of the event is Hon Justice Adesola Oguntade (Former Justice of the Supreme Court). Panel of Discussants include Chairmen of the five branches of NBA in Lagos State, Chief Lai Mohammed and Mr. Olisa Metuh. Also award ceremony will hold at Ikorodu Town Hall at 10 am. The recipients include Mr. Augustine O. Alegeh, SAN (President NBA) Joseph Bodunrin Daudu, SAN (Past President NBA),Hon. Justice Isa Ayo Salami (Former President Court of Appeal),Hon. Justice Idris O. Kutigi (Former Justice Supreme Court)

Continuing Legal Education/ Annual Bar Dinner under the chairmanship of
Chairman: Chief Adeniyi M. Akintola, SAN. It holds at Ikorodu Town Hall at 6.00pm.
Commenting on the Law Week, Adebayo-Adetunji, expressed gratitude to God for preserving the lives of member to witness yet another edition of Law Week.
According to him, the branch successfully held her election that gave birth to the new executive on the 14th day of July, 2014.
“Immediately thereafter, I was conferred a member of the Governing Council of the Lagos Multidoor Courthouse. I was also conferred with Notary Public in August, 2014. The wireless internet service portal was installed at the High/Magistrate Court complex in Ikorodu. “Lawyers and all users of the Ikorodu Court House have been benefitting from this largesse. This is novel in the history of Courts in Nigeria and it is a plus to this administration.
“Another novel achievement of this administration is the invitation of guests at the Branch’s Monthly meetings. This has afforded members the opportunity to interact with Senior Advocates of Nigeria, Justices and other legal luminaries. For all these novel achievements and more, we have reasons to say thank you God,” he stated.
