Genevieve Nnaji snubs toaster, insists on her native ways

41 years old screen goddess, Genevieve Nnaji, yesterday called the bluff of a man who toasted her and asked for her hand in marriage as second wife.

The video clip originally posted on Tiktok shows the Mbaise, Imo State-born Creative Arts graduate from the University of Lagos reminding the suitor that she is first and foremost an Igbo woman and insists on holding tenaciously to her native ways.

The following dialogue ensued between the former model who gave birth to a daughter out of wedlock before she joined the movie industry, and the faceless toaster:

Toaster: I want a second wife

Genevieve: I am an Igbo woman o. You know, right?

Toaster: But let’s skip the traditional rites

Genevieve: You know I’m an Igbo woman, right?

Toaster: Don’t travel to the village this Christmas

Genevieve: Hia! I be Igbo o

Toaster: You will starve without me

Genevieve: (Smiles) No problem. But remember I am an Igbo woman.
