Biafra Nations League (BNL) has berated the leader of Northern Elders Forum (NEF), Prof Ango Abdullahi, over his accusations that violence against northerners in the South are perpetrated by the Igbo.

National Leader of BNL, Princewill Chimezie Richard, replying Abdullahi via a statement issued on Wednesday, said that Igbos have suffered violence in the hands of northerners from 1950s till date and have decided not to resort to “siddon look” any longer.

He accused the NEF of sponsoring violence against the Igbo in the North in other to continue to advance and promote their interest in the Nigerian State “but when the Easterners rise against them, either in the form of retaliation or a revolt they will cry foul, do they want us to be begging whenever they attack us without mercy in the north? Not this time, anything they do to the Igbos and other Biafran tribes in the North we will retaliate.”

BNL also disclosed that some African Americans are backing the Biafran movement, adding that they’re now working closely with the Universal Negro Improvement Association and African Community League (UNIA-ACL) founded by Marcus Garvey of Jamaica.
