The final stage to select the overall winner of MTN Yellow Star on Sunday, November 15 is here. This final stage is called “The Incubation Hub”.

This year’s edition of the show which was formerly called MTN Project Fame was launched in February.

After the Regional auditions which held in Abuja, Enugu and Lagos, 13 finalists from the auditions are currently in the ‘incubation hub’ in Lagos, where they are being coached by experts in the music industry in several areas as they aim for the top prize.

The eventual winner on Sunday will cart home mouthwatering gifts including an apartment fully furnished and fitted with studio equipment, a car and prize money, amount yet to be disclosed.

According to the telecommunications giant, this maiden edition of the show hosted by Tobi Bakre and Hilda Baci has three judges viz: Omawumi Megbele popularly known as Omawumi, Olubankole Wellington professionally known as Banky W, and

Malik Yusef El Shabazz Jones.

Also, members of the Henley Business community are providing entrepreneurial training and coaching to the contestants on the debut season.

Y’ello Star is a musical platform created by MTN Nigeria to search for, discover, nurture, expose and launch music talents in young Nigerians.

Unlike Project Fame where auditions were physical, interested participants in Y’ello Star only need to record themselves and send the video to the organisers through MyMTN app, social media or the MTN Nigeria website from where a team of judges select potential finalists for auditions.
