Hoodlums on Saturday broke into Iwo Local Government Secretariat located along Araromi Street, Osun State, carting away items such as fertilizers, farm chemicals and drugs. They also looted office items such as TV, computers and furniture. Some even removed doors and solar panels.

Some broke into the office of Osun State Agricultural Development Programme and carted away stored agricultural inputs and office equipment.

As if that was not enough, businesses and homes of Senator Adelere Adeyemi Oriolowo, representing Osun West at the National Assembly, later came under attack.

His personal homes, constituency office, farm produce stores, and farms all located in Iwo LG and its environments were looted by hoodlums.

The hoodlums numbering in the hundreds invaded the expansive agricultural farm settlement of the Senator stealing cattle, fowls, palm oil and other agricultural produce stored in the farm.

As was the case with the invasion of the LG secretariat, the police were no to be found.

The incidence are said to have created tension in the town, with fear gripping other political office holders in the community.

It was gathered that the Oluwo of Iwo, Oba Abdulrasheed Akanbi, has for some time now been engaging the youth of the town to remain calm and maintain peace.

The State Government responded later in the day by restoring the curfew imposed in the wake of ENDSAR protest that rocked the state and lifted just yesterday morning.
